School Rolls
School Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. milk, 1 pkg. yeast, 1/4 c. lukewarm water, 3 tbsp. shortening and 1/4 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Scald the milk.
Soften yeast in lukewarm water.
Add shortening, sugar and salt to milk; cool to lukewarm.
Add 1 cup flour and beat.
Add yeast and 1 well beaten egg; mix well.
Add flour to make dough easy to handle; knead.
Put into greased bowl; cover with damp cloth.
Let rise for 1 hour.
Punch down; cover and let rise again.
Shape into rolls.
Let rise.
Bake for 15 minutes at 425Β°.
