Scalloped Chicken Supreme
Scalloped Chicken Supreme is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. chicken stock, 2 c. boiled rice, 3 c. cooked, cut up chicken, 3 c. chicken gravy, seasoned with celery salt or poultry seasoning and slivered almonds (1/2 c.), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Pour chicken stock over boiled rice.
Place in alternate layers in greased 11 x 7-inch dish the cooked rice, cut up chicken and chicken gravy.
Sprinkle slivered almonds, pimiento and mushrooms over each layer.
Top with buttered bread crumbs or Wheaties.
Bake in oven at 350Β° for 45 minutes.
Makes 8 servings.
(I don't always use pimentos; I usually use more mushrooms and almonds.)
