Scalloped Cabbage
Scalloped Cabbage is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 to 6 c. shredded cabbage, 2 medium onions, finely chopped, 1 medium green pepper, finely chopped, 1/4 c. butter and 2 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cook cabbage in boiling water until almost tender.
In separate pan, saute onions and peppers in butter until tender.
Add to cabbage.
Stir in cheese and add 1 1/2 cups crushed croutons.
Transfer to greased 9 x 13 dish.
Pour milk over top.
Sprinkle with remaining croutons.
Bake, uncovered, at 350Β° for 20 to 25 minutes.
