Sausage Wheel

Drain apples. Brown sausage in 1 tablespoon oil in 10-inch ovenproof skillet. Arrange sausages spoke fashion around 1 apple ring.
Mix batter ingredients until just moistened.
Drop half of the batter between sausages and over center apple ring.
Arrange remaining apple rings over batter.
Carefully spread with reserved batter.
