Sauerkraut Cake
Sauerkraut Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sugar, 2/3 c. shortening or butter, 3 eggs, 1 1/4 tsp. vanilla and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Cream together sugar and shortening.
Add eggs.
Mix well. Add vanilla, salt and cocoa and mix.
In separate bowl, mix flour and baking powder.
Add dry ingredients and water, a little at a time, to the first bowl and mix.
Mix in the sauerkraut.
Bake in a greased 9 x 13 cake pan for 35 to 45 minutes at 350Β°.
Use your favorite cream cheese frosting.
