Sauerbraten
Sauerbraten is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 beef roast (about 4 lb.), 1 onion (whole), 4 c. water, 4 beef bouillon cubes and 1/3 c. apple cider vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Roll roast in flour and brown with a little oil in Dutch oven (large cooking pot).
Add all other ingredients, except gingersnaps, and simmer 3 to 4 hours or all day in crock-pot.
Add gingersnaps to thicken gravy.
Meat will shred it is so tender.
