Sassy Sausages
Sassy Sausages is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. water, 1/3 c. red cinnamon candies, red food coloring, 3 red tart apples, cored and cut into 1/2-inch rings and 1 lb. pork sausage links, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
In skillet, heat 1 cup water, the cinnamon candies and a few drops red food coloring until candies are melted.
Place apple rings in syrup; cook slowly, turning occasionally, about 20 minutes or until tender.
Place links in another skillet; add 3 tablespoons water.
Cover tightly; cook slowly for 8 minutes. Uncover; cook, turning sausages until well browned.
To serve, insert hot sausage link in center of each apple slice.
