Sangria
Sangria is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 oranges, sliced, 3 lemons, sliced, 1 lime, sliced, 1 c. sugar and 1/2 pt. brandy, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Arrange the lemons, lime and oranges in the bottom of a very large pitcher or crock. Sprinkle sugar over the fruit.
More sugar may be added if oranges are sour.
Add the brandy and allow to sit at least 1 hour. Add wine. Stir well and allow to sit for 30 minutes. Serve over ice. Will keep in the refrigerator 2 to 3 weeks in a covered container.
