Sandwich Cake
Sandwich Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter, 2 eggs, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 tsp. baking powder and 1 tbsp. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Cream butter. and blend it.
Add eggs and milk. Stir until well mixed.
Mix baking powder and salt with flour. Combine mixtures. Add vanilla.
Mix smooth.
Spread to 1/2-inch thickness in greased and flour-dusted cake pan. Cover with dates.

Beat 2 egg whites until stiff. Add brown sugar to beaten egg whites. Spread over layer of nuts.
Bake 25 minutes in a 350Β° oven in an 11 x 8-inch pan.
