Sand Tarts
Sand Tarts is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. shortening, 1 1/4 c. sugar, 3 eggs, 1 tbsp. water and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cream shortening with sugar; add 2 eggs and 1 egg yolk (keep white).
Sift flour and salt and add.
Roll 1/4 dough at a time (thin).
Cut with cookie cutter.
Brush with egg white.
Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar and add pecans if desired.
Bake at 350Β° until golden brown.
