Sand Crescents
Sand Crescents is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter or margarine, 1/4 c. plus 1 tbsp. sifted powdered sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla extract, 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour and 1 1/2 c. chopped pecans, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cream butter in large mixing bowl.
Gradually add 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
Stir in vanilla, blending well.
Gradually add flour and chopped pecans mixing just until blended.
Shape dough into small crescents. Place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake at 250Β° for 40 to 50 minutes.
Remove to wire rack to cool completely.
Roll in additional powdered sugar.
Store in airtight containers.
Makes 2 dozen.
