Salsa
Salsa is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. fresh tomatoes (stems removed), 1/2 large onion, 2 cloves garlic, 1 chili and 1/2 c. fresh cilantro leaves, loosely packed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Chop tomatoes and onion.
Peel garlic and chop.
Remove stem and seeds from chili and chop.
Place tomatoes, onion, garlic, chili and cilantro in blender or food processor container.
Blend or chop until desired consistency is reached.
Place mixture in bowl and add lime juice, sugar and chili powder.
Stir until well blended.
Serve with tortilla chips, wedges of baked fresh tortillas, as a sauce for cold or hot foods, as a topping for baked potatoes, or as a dressing for salad.
