Salisbury Steak
Salisbury Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. ground chuck, 1 pack or stack saltine crackers, 2 onions, 1 egg and 1 envelope brown, mushroom or onion gravy mix, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Crush saltine crackers into crumbs.
Combine ground chuck, cracker crumbs, chopped onion, egg and pepper together.
Mix together well and form patties (children like "meatball" shape). Brown in skillet or microwave to cook outside.
Mix and cook gravy as directed on package.
Pour gravy (and mushrooms, if desired,) over patties in Dutch oven type pot.
Simmer gravy and patties over low heat about 40 minutes.
Serve with rice or mashed potatoes.
