Sad Cake is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. pioneer brand biscuit mix, 1 box light brown sugar, 4 eggs and vanilla and nuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix by hand.
Bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan for 25 to 30 minutes at 350Β°.
Near end of cooking time, heat 1/2 stick margarine and about 1 1/2 cups brown sugar plus 3 to 4 tablespoons milk until margarine is melted.
Pour mixture over the cake as soon as it is removed from the oven.
Sprinkle with coconut and nuts.
Broil until sugar bubbles.
