Rye Bread
Rye Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, 2 pkg. active dry yeast, 1 tbsp. caraway seed, 2 c. hot water and 1/2 c. brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Combine flour, yeast and caraway seed.
Stir together water, brown sugar, cooking oil and salt in separate bowl.
Add flour mixture.
Beat at low speed.
Then beat 3 minutes at high speed. Stir in rye flour and as much all-purpose flour as you can mix in with a spoon.
Flour surface and knead dough, adding flour to make a stiff dough.
Cover and let rise in warm place.
Punch down and divide in half.
Cover; let rise 10 minutes.
Bake at 350Β° for 40 to 45 minutes.
