Rumaki
Rumaki is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. chicken livers, 1/2 can (8 oz.) water chestnuts, 1/4 c. soy sauce, 2 tbsp. packed brown sugar and 2 thin slices fresh ginger root or 1/8 tsp. ground ginger, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cut chicken livers into halves; cut water chestnuts crosswise into halves.
Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger root and garlic in glass or plastic bowl; stir in chicken livers and water chestnuts. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours; drain.
Cut bacon slices into halves.
Wrap piece of liver and piece of chestnut in each bacon piece.
Secure with wooden pick.
Arrange on rack in broiler pan.
Cook in 400Β° oven, turning once, until bacon is crisp, 25 to 30 minutes.
