Rum Sauce is an easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. butter, 1 c. sugar, 2 tbsp. rum or 2 tsp. rum flavoring, yolks of 2 eggs and 1/2 c. milk or cream, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Cream the butter.
Add sugar gradually, then rum flavoring very slowly.
Add well beaten egg yolks and milk or cream.
Cook over hot water until it thickens as a custard.
Pour onto beaten egg whites.
It is delicious on bread pudding.
