Rouladen
Rouladen is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. round steak, 4 dill pickle spears, 8 slices bacon, 4 tbsp. bread crumbs and salt and pepper to taste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Cut steak into 4 pieces.
Pound until paper thin.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Cook bacon in skillet until done, but not crisp. Place two slices of bacon on each piece of meat, long way on meat. Add one tablespoon of bread crumbs to each piece of meat.
Place pickle across short side of meat and roll up.
Pickle is center. Secure.
Place in bacon grease; brown on all sides.
Reduce heat; add 1/4 cup water and simmer for 30 minutes, covered.
