Combine marshmallows, walnuts and graham crackers in a large mixing bowl.
Place butter, sugar, salt, vanilla, egg and cocoa in a heavy saucepan.
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.
Pour over marshmallow mixture; mix thoroughly.
Spread into an 8 x 8-inch greased pan.
