Rice Pilaf
Rice Pilaf is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/3 c. uncooked brown rice, 1 1/2 c. chicken broth, 1/3 c. thin spaghetti, broken into 1/2-inch pieces, 2 tsp. butter and 2 tbsp. chopped green pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Cook rice in 1 cup of the broth in covered saucepan until almost tender, about 30 minutes.
Cook spaghetti in butter over low heat until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
Stir frequently. Watch carefully.
Add browned spaghetti, onions, green pepper, garlic, thyme, salt, pepper and remaining 1/2 cup broth to rice. Bring to boil; reduce heat and cover.
Cook over medium heat until liquid is absorbed, about 10 minutes.
Remove from heat; let stand 2 minutes.
Garnish with parsley.
