Rice Casserole
Rice Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. rice, washed in cold water, 1 tsp. salt, 3 1/2 c. boiling water, 1 lb. hamburger or ground beef and 1 tbsp. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Mix rice, salt and boiling water and let stand, covered, without stirring or boiling, while you brown the hamburger in butter, adding onions, celery, mushrooms and soy sauce.
Combine with rice.
Bake slowly, 1 hour, in covered casserole dish, 9 x 11-inch (Pyrex).
Serves 8 to 10 people.
