Refrigerator Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. flour, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/3 c. crisco and 1/3 c. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
Cream shortening and butter.
Add brown and white sugars.
Blend.
Add egg and vanilla.
Beat mixture until light; add nutmeats.
Blend in dry ingredients and mix well.
Divide dough in 2 parts and make 2 rolls.
Wrap in wax paper; chill overnight in refrigerator.
Slice off and bake at 425Β° for 5 to 7 minutes.
