Cream together oleo and sugar; add beaten egg and vanilla. Sift together flour, salt and baking powder.
Beat the flour mixture into the creamed mixture.
Shape dough into two rolls. Wrap in waxed paper and refrigerate about 3 hours.
When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350Β°.
Cut rolls into slices and bake on slightly greased cookie sheet for 6 to 8 minutes.
