Refrigerated Crescent Rolls
Refrigerated Crescent Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. warm water, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 egg, 1/4 c. shortening and 2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup water; set aside.
In large mixing bowl, add remaining 1 1/2 cups water, sugar, egg, salt and shortening; beat well.
Add yeast and flour; mix well.
Store in refrigerator overnight.
Will keep 1 week.
When ready to use, divide dough into 4 balls.
Roll each into a 10 or 12-inch circle. Spread with soft margarine.
Cut into 12 pie-shaped pieces.
Roll up each piece, starting with large end.
Place on greased cookie sheet; let rise at least 2 hours.
Bake at 375Β° for 12 to 15 minutes.
Yield
4 dozen.
