Red Velvet Cake
Red Velvet Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. margarine, 1/2 c. crisco, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 2 eggs and 2 tbsp. cocoa, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Cream fat, eggs and sugar.
Make paste of cocoa and part of food coloring.
Add this and rest of coloring to creamed mix. Sift flour and salt and alternate with buttermilk.
Add vinegar. Stir soda and vanilla; add to batter.
Mix well.
Bake in 2 (8-inch) pans for 30 minutes at 350Β°.
(May use green food coloring.)
