Red Cake
Red Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 tbsp. nestle quik chocolate, 4 1/2 oz. red food coloring, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. shortening and 2 eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix first 2 ingredients.
Set aside.
Cream sugar, shortening and eggs.
Add red food coloring mixture.
Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
Add by hand the vinegar and baking soda.
Line 2 round cake pans with wax paper (bottoms, grease well).
Pour in batter.
Bake at 350Β° until toothpick comes out clean.
