Raisin Pie
Raisin Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. seeded raisins, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 4 tbsp. flour, juice of 1 lemon and 2 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Wash raisins and soak in cold water for 3 hours.
Drain; combine 2 cups water, raisins, sugar and flour.
Also mix together with salt, lemon juice and rind and egg.
Mix thoroughly and cook over hot water for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Let cool. Pour into empty pie shell; cover with dough strips, crisscrossed. Bake in hot oven at 450° for 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350° and bake 30 more minutes.
