Raisin Pie
Raisin Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. raisins, 4 tbsp. margarine, 3 tsp. cornstarch, 1/4 c. cold water and 2 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Cook raisins with the margarine in about 3 cups of water until tender.
Mix cornstarch in 1/4 cup cold water; add to raisins to thicken them.
If this is not enough to thicken, add a little more.
Add remaining ingredients; bring to a boil.
Let mixture cool.
Pour into bottom crust.
Top with remaining crust.
Slash crust and brush with margarine.
Cook until crust is brown at 375Β°.
