Raisin Cake

First cream sugar and shortening together; then add eggs and beat.
Cook box of raisins in water until tender and have 1 cup of raisin water.
Then add soda to hot raisin water.
Add the raisins and water, spices, cocoa and flour.
Bake about 1/2 hour at 375Β° or until done.
