Raisin Cake
Raisin Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sugar, 2/3 c. shortening, 2 eggs, 1 box raisins and 1/3 c. cocoa, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

First cream sugar and shortening together; then add eggs and beat.
Cook box of raisins in water until tender and have 1 cup of raisin water.
Then add soda to hot raisin water.
Add the raisins and water, spices, cocoa and flour.
Bake about 1/2 hour at 375Β° or until done.
