Raised Doughnuts

Warm milk and add shortening and salt.
Heat until shortening is melted.
Let cool.
Set yeast in large bowl and add sugar and water.
Set for 30 minutes.
Beat eggs and add to milk mixture. After yeast has risen, add milk and egg mixture.
Stir in flour and knead dough.
Let rise for 45 minutes.
Roll out and cut into doughnuts.
Let rise 30 minutes.
Fry in hot shortening.
Glaze or roll in sugar.
