Raised Bow Ties
Raised Bow Ties is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 eggs, 1 c. butter, melted, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 large yeast cake, melted with 1/4 c. warm water and 1 lemon, juice and rind, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Beat eggs until creamy.
Add butter, sugar, yeast mixture and flour.
Cover and let raise for about 1 1/2 hours until doubled. Place dough on floured board and make the knots.
If sticking, add a little more flour.
Put on greased cookie sheet and let them raise again.
Bake at 375Β° for 10 minutes.
Frost with powdered sugar and lemon flavoring while warm.
