Quick Peach Crumble
Quick Peach Crumble is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 sugar cookies, 2 lb. very ripe peaches or 1 large (1 lb. 14 oz.) can cling peach halves, 1/2 c. sugar, 3/4 c. water and 1/4 c. butter or margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Make a syrup of sugar and water.
Peel and slice peaches.
Add to syrup and simmer until peaches are heated (or heat canned peaches in saucepan).
Crush sugar cookies into crumbs.
Melt butter in small skillet.
Add and stir in cookie crumbs and walnuts.
Cook, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes or until crumbs are golden brown.
To serve, place warm peaches in small compotes; spoon a little juice over; sprinkle with about 2 tablespoons crumb mixture.
Serve with cream or soft vanilla ice cream.
Top with more crumb mixture.
Makes 8 servings.
