Cut butter into squares.
Dot bottom of ungreased pan with butter squares.
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and milk together.
Pour over butter.
Spoon fruit over all, allowing space for dough to bubble up.
Bake in 350Β° oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown on top.
Especially good with peaches.
