Quick Devil Dogs is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. flour, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda, 1/4 c. cocoa and 1 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Sift together flour, salt, soda, cocoa, sugar and baking powder.
Add milk, shortening and egg (nutmeats if desired). Batter will be cake like.
Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 425Β° for 5 to 7 minutes.
Can be frosted, sandwiched or plain.
Kids love them.
