Mix or cut butter into the cake mix. Put this mixture in 9-inch pan, reserving a little for topping. Make a "well" in middle of mixture. Put pie filling in middle of well; sprinkle reserved mixture (or crust) on top of filling.

Bake at 350° until "crust" starts to turn golden. Serve hot. May top with ice cream or Cool Whip
