Quick Chocolate Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c sifted flour, 1 c granulated sugar, 3 tabs. cocoa, 1 tsp soda and 3/4 tsp salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Sift flour, sugar, cocoa, salt, and soda into mixing bowl. Form a well in your dry ingredients and add melted shortening, water, vinegar, and vanilla.
Mix well and pour in lightly greased and floured 9 inch cake pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
