Quiche Lorraine is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. flour, 1/2 tsp. onion salt, 1/8 tsp. basil leaves, 2 tbsp. butter and 2 tbsp. lard, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

In a large bowl, sift together the flour and onion salt; mix in basil.
Cut in butter and lard until it resembles coarse meal. Gradually add enough water to hold dough together, mixing lightly with a fork.
Roll out on lightly floured board.
Line 9-inch pie plate with dough.
