Pumpkin Bread
Pumpkin Bread is an impressive dinner. Made with 2/3 c. shortening, 2 2/3 c. sugar, 4 eggs, beaten, 1 (1 lb.) can pumpkin and 2/3 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cream shortening and sugar thoroughly; add eggs, pumpkin and water.
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, soda and spices. Add to the pumpkin mixture.
Stir in nuts and raisins or dates. Pour into two 2-quart, greased loaf pans.
Bake at 350Β° for 1 hour.
For best flavor, bake the day before serving.
