Grease and flour pans.

Combine sugar, oil, pumpkin and eggs. Beat until light and fluffy.

Sift flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and cloves onto waxed paper.

Add to pumpkin mixture alternating with water; mix until blended.

Turn into pans.

Bake at 350Β° for 45 minutes.

Cool 10 minutes in pans.

Makes 2 loaves.
