Pumpkin Bread
Pumpkin Bread is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 2/3 c. sugar, 3 eggs, 2/3 c. shortening, 2 c. fresh pumpkin (canned pumpkin could be used) and 3 c. plain flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, soda, salt and spices.
In another large bowl, mix sugar and shortening until creamy.
Add eggs one at a time.
Add pumpkin and mix well.
Pour flour mixture (slowly) into sugar mixture.
Add water as needed. Beat until thoroughly mixed.
Pour into greased loaf pans.
Bake at 350Β° for 1 hour or until done.
