Mix the flour, sugar and spices.
Dissolve 1 teaspoon of soda in buttermilk and add to dry ingredients.
Add Wesson oil.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
Add prunes, pecans and vanilla.
Bake in tube pan at 325Β° for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
