Prune Cake
Prune Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/2 c. shortening, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 c. sour milk, 2 eggs and 2 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Melt, in saucepan, over low heat, butter or margarine.
Add brown sugar.
Cook and stir over low heat 2 minutes.
Stir in milk.
Cook and stir, over low heat, until mixture comes to a boil.
Remove from heat.
Cool to lukewarm or until the hand can be comfortably held on the bottom of pan.
Stir in, about 1/2 cup at a time, powdered sugar.
Beat until smooth and creamy.
