Pronto Pups
Pronto Pups is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. all-purpose flour, unsifted, 2/3 c. plain, yellow cornmeal, 2 tsp. sugar, 1 tsp. salt and 1/4 c. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Set hot dogs out in advance so they will come to room temperature and have dry outer skin.
(I usually place on a paper towel.)
Pronto Pup batter will not stick to cold, wet hot dogs.
