Pralines
Pralines is an easy dinner. Made with 8 oz. half and half, 2 c. sugar, 1/2 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract and 2 c. pecan halves, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Mix sugar, baking soda and half and half in large saucepan on stove.
Bring to soft boil stage (240Β° on candy thermometer), stirring constantly.
Turn off stove; let set.
When settled, beat with electric mixer until smooth (it will be thin).
Add vanilla and pecans as it thickens.
Spoon out on wax paper.
Makes about 18 pralines.
