Pralines #3
Pralines #3 is an easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. light brown sugar, 1/2 c. undiluted evaporated milk, 1 c. nuts, coarsely broken, 1/2 c. granulated sugar and 3 tbsp. butter or margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Butter sides of heavy 2-quart saucepan.
Combine sugars and milk.
Heat and stir over low heat until dissolved.
Increase heat and cook to fine thread stage (230°).
Remove from heat; add butter and nuts.
Continue cooking until soft ball stage (236°). Cook 5 minutes.
Beat until slightly thickened.
