Beat egg whites and add 6 tablespoons of original sugar; set aside.
Cream butter and sugar; add egg yolks, two at a time. Alternate flour with cream; fold in beaten egg whites.
Add vanila. Bake in stem pan 1 hour 35 minutes in 300Β° oven.
