Pound Cake
Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. flour, 2 c. sugar, 1 c. butter or shortening, 5 eggs and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Cream sugar and butter until fluffy; add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add flavoring.
Sift flour and salt together and fold into mixture.
Bake in tube pan for 1 hour at 350Β°.
This may be baked in 2 loaf pans.
Serve plain or with ice cream, strawberries or peaches.
Slices may be spread with butter and toasted under broiler.
