Cream butter, sugar and Crisco until sugar dissolves.
Add beaten eggs.
Sift together flour and baking powder.
Add flour and milk alternately to first mixture.
Pour into well-greased and floured tube pan.
Place in cold oven and bake at 325Β° for 1 1/2 hours.
Add any type of fruit topping to cake when serving (optional).
