Cook potatoes in skins.
Peel and dice up.
Melt 4 Tbsp. butter and add cheese until softened.
Blend in sour cream.
Fold in potatoes and spoon into greased 2-quart casserole.
Dot with 2 Tbsp. butter.
Cover.
