Pot Roast
Pot Roast is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 lb. pot roast, 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour, 3 tbsp. fat, 2 tbsp. salt and 1/4 tbsp. pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Preheat frypan at 350°.
Wipe the meat and rub flour over the surface.
Add the fat and brown meat on all sides.
Season with salt and pepper.
Add water; reduce heat to 225°.
Cover and cook until tender, 3 to 3 1/2 hours.
More water may be added, if needed.
Potatoes, carrots and onions may be added the last 1/2 to 3/4 hour of cooking time.
